VBS In Full Swing

Every summer, it’s my privilege to travel the state and visit as many Vacation Bible Schools as I can. It’s always inspiring to see the wonderful ministry taking place and to be reminded that every church, large and small, can be involved in VBS.

Already this summer, several churches have shared the results of God’s work in their midst. Dothan First Baptist enrolled 278 in VBS and 15 made a profession of faith. Opp First Baptist reported an enrollment of 300, Verbena an enrollment of 115, and Bellview in Decatur enrolled 40, and each church had three children making professions of faith. Gardendale First Baptist enrolled 1,202 people in their VBS and of those, 110 made professions of faith! We rejoice in every church who is holding a VBS, every person who is enrolled, and certainly everyone who has made a decision to follow Christ. To God be the glory!

We will continue to share VBS results throughout the summer as we receive them. Please send your church’s report to James Blakeney at [email protected].
