Alabama Preschool & Children’s Minister’s Organization
This organization is an educational support group for Preschool and Children professional/ministerial salaried staff members in Alabama Southern Baptist churches. Membership means more than just an amazing annual retreat, it also means regional get-togethers, a large network of friends in ministry, and monthly resources!
We offer an open invitation to representatives of Southern Baptist affiliated organizations, agencies, and ministries who would like to attend our yearly meeting in an non-voting capacity. This is a Southern Baptist organization but not funded by any SB agency. Retired active APCMO members often still join us at the retreat.
The date of our annual meeting next year is February 4th – 6th, 2026 held at the Island House hotel at Orange Beach, AL.

Retreats

Yearly retreats are a highlight for members. We hear testimonials of lifelong friendships developed over time at these educational, refreshing, and team-building times of rest and equipping.
Each year, we enjoy worship through song, Biblical teaching, and practical equipping, balanced with rest and fun! New members – plan to come to the new member lunch your first year and get to know present year officers and state missionaries before the retreat begins. We have 2 meals that we invite any spouses or guests to attend as well, to keep encouraging one another.
The retreat will begin on February 4th, around 2pm, and will be dismissed on February 6th, around noon. There will be a block of ‘free time’ late Thursday afternoon with dinner on your own! The retreat cost is $150, and it covers your yearly dues for the next calendar year. You’ll book your own hotel room, but breakfast and 2 meals are covered during the retreat.
Resources
Being a part of APCMO grants automatic entrance to our closed Facebook group that frequently shares ministry ideas, encouragement, and even related job postings. This is in addition to monthly resources shared via email that are applicable to all.
One of the best resources you get as part of being an APCMO member is the network of like-minded servant-hearted children and preschool ministers encouraging you throughout the year. We have regional meet-ups, meals, and connect at other events throughout the year.
Membership
To become a member now, the dues for the 2025 calendar year are $50, and you can select that option when signing up. You can also sign up for the 2026 retreat. When you do, you’ve already paid for your 2026 yearly dues.
